
Compositeur et professeur, Victor Main a été lauréat du concours international de composition
"Sounding Board, A Call for Scores". En résidence à Pumphouse Music Works à Peace
Dale Rhode Island, il est également le président de l'organisation Rhode Island Guitar Guild
qui organise des concerts et des masterclasses de solistes et d'ensembles internationaux, en
plus de mener des programmes éducatifs pour de jeunes musiciens. Victor Main est également
assistant d'enseignement à l'Université de Rhode Island où il est candidat à la maîtrise en
musique.
Après avoir sa obtenu sa licence de musique (guitare) au Mannes College of Music en
2011, Victor Main s'est produit et a donné de nombreuses masterclasses aux États-Unis, tant
en soliste qu'en ensemble. Il est un chambriste passionné au sein du “Voyager Guitar Duo”.
Victor Main joue dans plusieurs ensembles de musique de chambre dont l’un d’eux a
remporté le concours de musique de chambre du New York Youth Symphony en 2007.

Victor Main is an award-winning classical guitarist, composer and educator based
out of Cranston Rhode Island. Victor was a winner of the 2019 “Sounding Board, A Call for
Scores International composition competition” Victor is the guitarist in residence at Pumphouse
Music Works in Peace Dale Rhode Island. Victor is also the president of the nonprofit organization
the Rhode Island Guitar Guild. The Rhode Island Guitar Guild presents concerts and
masterclasses of international soloists and ensembles in addition to leading educational outreach
programs for aspiring musicians. Victor is also a graduate teaching assistant at the University
of Rhode Island where he is a Masters of Music candidate.
Victor began his guitar studies in high school at the age of 16 and quickly decided
to pursue his passion for music at the conservatory level. He received his Bachelors of Music
in Guitar Performance from the Mannes College of Music in 2011.
Victor has performed and given masterclasses extensively in the United States both
as a soloist and in ensembles. He is an avid chamber musician as part of the Voyager Guitar
Duo. He is also an avid chamber music coach in Rhode Island, leading a variety of guitar ensembles
at the all state level through the Rhode Island Music Education Association.
Victor has performed at many notable venues including the Courthouse Center for
the Arts, the Newport Art Museum, Pumphouse Music Works, the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, the Morgan Library, the Americas Society, the Oneonta Guitar Festival, the University
of Rhode Island International Guitar Festival, the New York Guitar Seminar, the Aspen Music
Festival and Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. Victor has also participated in several successful
chamber ensembles. One of those ensembles was a winner of the New York Youth Symphony’s
chamber music competition in 2007 which resulted in Victor ’s second Carnegie Hall appearance.
